My dear President Falconer? I send you herewith copies of my lectures delivered at the University of Toronto, so that they may be printed. I am afraid I have delayed a long time in doing this, but I have been very busy and I postponed paying up my debts in this regard until I had a little vacation, which I am now enjoying at this delightful spot I hope that you and Mrs. Falconer have had a good rest. With my respectful compliments Go her,and my best wishes to both of you, end with the most delightful recollections of my visit, believe me, my dear Mr. President,

Sincerely yours,

President Robert A. Falconer, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada.

lily dear President Falconer:

I sent you typewritten copies of my lectures on "The Presidency", but I have not yet received the proof. I find some inaccuracies in the lectures, which I would wish to correct before they are printed. I don't wish in any way to be urgent in respect to their printing, because I am not concerned with that, but I am anxious that before they are printed, I should have an opportunity carefully to go over the text and make the corrections of misstatements that I have discoverede

My dear President Falconer:

I find that I have gotten into trouble with respect to the publi= cation of the three lectures that I delivered at the University of Toronto. When I spoke to yeu about this matter, I did not realize that I had promised that in the delivery of the lectures at other Universities than the Univere sity of Virginia, I would not permit their publication. The matter was so long postponed that my memory in respect to my obligations was defective. If now you think that this is a breach of my contract with you, I shall be glad te return the honorarium which you were good enough to give me.

My deer President Felconer:

I thank you very much for your very kind letter, It was stupid for me to go into the arrangement with the University of Virginia end give them exclusive right to publish lectures which I expect to use everywhere, but I shall know more in the wure. I appreciate much whet you say.

With very best wishes, believe me,

Sincerely yours,

President Robert A, Falconer, University of Teronto, Teronte, Canade.
